This will be 2 parts, first what the budget current is and second our MIC force multiplier bottom line approach to meddling in world affairs.

Part I

The FY2026 Department of Defense (DoD) budget, signed into law following a $838.7 billion-$866.6 billion compromise, focuses on accelerating munitions production, enhancing air/missile defense, and addressing critical modernization gaps with a near-flat nominal growth compared to FY2025. Key areas include significant investments in the Indo-Pacific region, increased funding for the Air Force ($249.5 billion), and substantial support for multiyear munitions contracts.

The budget reflects a major effort to bridge funding discrepancies identified in the initial DoD proposal, providing about $8.4 billion more than the initial reques

A lot of the Defense Budget goes toward construction, building maintenance, and new projects.

I remember when Obama was in office many of his projects was putting flat-panel TVs in all of the barracks on post.

It buys dead little girls.
Democrats love tax and spend policies, bu the only time they start sounding like fiscal conservatives is when a Republican is in the White House.

Who cares that congress does all of the spending.....and all of the waste too.

Thats true but totally irrelevant to what I said.

In what way?

Democrats got caught robbing the Treasury.....and their response was hiring rioters and inciting violence against Tesla and ICE.

In what way is defrauding the government irrelevant?

Apparently regime changes in Venezuela, Iran, and Cuba. As well as control of the Panama Canal.

Democrats use their causes and their protected groups to rip us off royally.

Their response is screaming homophobia and Islamaphobia whenever they get caught.

It buys dead little girls.
Currently, it also buys destabilization in the Mideast. Higher fuel prices, globally. Higher grocery prices in the USA. A general distrust of the American empire and its leadership. Disgruntled voters who supported a set of promises but were sold "ocean front property in Arizona." In general, it bought chaos, fear, and uncertainty.

I was watching the "local" news out of DC yesterday and it showed TSA employees lined-up to get donated foodstuffs.

Why do the dems (except Fetterman) hate America?

The unforced error of a War on Iran highlights that our budget is not made for war, but for profits.

The Iran military budget is $23 Billion, that's under 3% of our budget. They are arguably at very least even and inflicting massive damage on us and our "Greatest Ally".

Think of it, 3% of our budget plus Israel has 3 squadrons of F-35I's. The Israeli air base was just lightly tapped by modified $20,000 a piece drones and is inoperable for 36 hours. Our aircraft carriers have moved at least 500 miles away from Iran and one is "on fire"

Iran's is a tight, focused budget that's directed inward to the defense of their homeland and not to getting involved in endless conflicts for decades all over the world.

Has the time finally arrived to completely rethink our Military strategy and budgeting?

What's hidden in the black budgets that could actually help the American People?

Who do we need still 700 bases all over the world?

I've never served, I'm not a military strategist, but I see major, unaddressed problems that will only get much worse by throwing even more money at it

Thoughts?

This is why China focuses on California.
