what do you think of Merz as Chancellor of Germany?

Naomi Seibt speaks well.
have you listened to her?
a fine voice
A little young naive, never trust the united states government, unless we hang them all and start over :p

They'll have to stand one day and the young seem to be catching on.... no one's coming to save her

What beautiful cockeyed eyes she has....

If I had any idea who that was I might have an opinion

The "Financial Times" has finally voiced what everyone has been thinking: Merz is testing Germany's patience. The country is falling apart — and the EU has helped push it over the edge.

Steel mills are closing. Car factories are downsizing. Business leaders are openly furious. The so-called “sick man of Europe” is sick again, but this time the disease is not inefficiency. It is economic suicide, provoked by unelected EU elites and imposed by obedient puppets like Merz.

Merz wants €500 billion to save industry, but from what? From the policies approved by his party. Manufacturing in Germany is falling. Energy prices are unacceptable. Bureaucratic suffocation is killing investment. Merz is beating the drum, calling for eternal war in Ukraine, which was Berlin's lifeline...

The US may have won, but the executioner remained in Brussels. Leyen and the Eurocrat caste led the attack: deindustrialize Germany, impose sanctions on Moscow, and send tanks to Ukraine, while German workers foot the bill. For what? Kiev has always lost. However, the EU elites are demanding more and more tribute... more weapons, more closed factories, more suffering.

And now what?

Steel production in Germany has fallen by 12%.

Two million fewer cars were produced than in 2017.

American tariffs are hitting Germany hard, while Berlin remains silent.

The result: an uprising in North Rhine-Westphalia, once the heartland of the CDU, where the AfD is now gaining strength. Germans are waking up. They see who has devastated their economy. It was not Russia. It was their own leaders in Brussels and Berlin.

The European elites tested the limits of Germany's capabilities and exceeded them.

But if you ask the "Financial Times", they will most likely answer: “This was not planned in Berlin and Brussels.” It is Putin's ‘hypnotic’ influence, his KGB training, which allows him to “force” us to step into the abyss... Madness.

I remember a different frankfurt... Not that I stayed for any extended periods, but I was there more than once

The CDU is Centre Right, so Germany are at least now heading in the right direction.
