Do you not see his point? It wasn’t perfectly stated I get that. But his point was if you’re going to get a medal from the US government the most desirable would be the medal of freedom. The Medal of Honor comes with bullet holes, near life ending injuries or death itself. He didn’t denigrate the Medal of Honor he truthfully stated if you’re going to receive one or the other, it’s probably better for you as the recipient to get the freedom one. It comes with far less injuries.

Recent Democrat Presidents have done more to demean and dilute our Armed Forces than anyone since Jimmy Carter. I think Trump was stating his true feelings.

He does not understand things like sacrifice for the greater good or laying down your life for you country or buddies. These things are a foreign concept to him, thus it makes sense to him that a medal given out for purely political reasons, normally tied to money, is MUCH BETTER than one earned in combat while in defense of one's country.
