Gee, I always hated most double albums, they were unwieldy and you were always fighting to keep the records from sliding around (triple albums were the worst), and frankly, there weren't many good ones; I have several, most I bet uncommon to other people's thinking.

I cannot think now, but one that comes immediately to mind I bet no one else thinks of was that Live album put out by Rare Earth that was cleverly packaged as a backpack--- so good that I've never once been able to break it up and not play it all the ways through, sides 1, 2, 3, 4.

Yep, have a near mint copy of that album.

OK, here is another great double LP that somehow, no one has mentioned (that I've seen):

ELECTRIC LADYLAND. I have several copies including one copy that is still factory sealed.

Includes my favorite Jimi tune of all time: 1983...A Merman I should turn to be...

This one was on my turntable a lot. Few duds on a double album is rare. I think it was simply called Marshall Tucker Band?

But highly rated was Frampton and Bruce (the river). So many. We were lucky.
