The part about the Spartans is from the Apocrypha aka Machabees, but it was in a Duoay Bible published in the 1920's as I recall. I could not find that Duoay version in my collection today as the more recent versions have that Spartan section missing.
As for the Syrian connection to Spain and Ireland, it is from a family geneology.
The Spanish King that bult the watch tower (light house) was also from that same geneology. The tower was rebuilt by the Romans and still exists. So sorry, I do not have time today to drag out the geneology and find the King's name. Maybe, later,
