This is one of the big reasons nations such as China get support from a younger generation, they have kept the cost of living low, especially rent and housing. Toronto intentionally keeps new housiing low.to increase rent and housng costs. This single issue has decimated our Middle Class more than anythijg. It has impacted the economy via weak disposable income. This and the S.I.C, lead to destruction of wealth and innovation. Fitting perhaps.
