Several of my uncles were in active combat in both theaters. They would never talk about around we younger men. On of my cousins served in active combat in 'Nam, and when he came home, his dad started talking to him about the combat he had seen. Kasserine Pass, Sicily, and halfway up the Italian boot before he was hurt and sent home. I think many of our combat vets feel that only someone that has seen the horrors of war can understand what they went through, and how they feel. And I think they are right.
