Capitalism and its way of distributing manufactured goods prevents this. The amount of money spent on the production of weapons and the preparation of wars alone takes away a huge part of the funds, time and efforts of humanity, that could have been spent for its benefit.
What is the purpose of capitalism? Making a profit by the owner of private property. For example, now the surge in gas prices has stopped up to 70% of nitrogen capacity. The increase in gas prices by almost 30% since mid-August has caused a wave of shutdowns of European fertilizer production facilities.
Are fertilizers important for humanity? Yes, very. But their production is not profitable for capitalists now.
