If anyone here is disappointed in the housing crisis, I invite you to stay tuned in case this bill passes because you have yet to see what massive increases in prices can do to an economy already wrecked by bad policy and spending when you have a high deficit. I often times hear people complain that Bush was at fault for gas going to 4.50 a gallon forgetting that the Dems had both houses of congress and could have addressed this issue with an energy bill had they not been more concerned with keeping their environmentalist lobby friends employed. I know that most of us understand what the high cost of fuel effected our entire economy, food, goods, services, etc. So how then by placing a tax of close to .77 cents a gallon on gas in the name of cleaning up the environment going to help the economy? When we all know that only a few other nations on earth would stupid enough to adopt such draconian rules. This is an issue I happen to agree with the President on when he said that it will cause prices to skyrocket. I urge you all not to support this measure as it has nothing to do with the environment or energy and there is nothing in this bill that would end our dependance on foreign sources of oil.
