Water powered engine changes EVERYTHING

even the dippy, trippy, hallucinating AI has this:

Toyota is not developing a car that runs directly on water as a fuel. Instead, they are pioneering hydrogen fuel cell technology and, more recently, hydrogen combustion engines, both of which produce water as a byproduct. The term "water engine" is sometimes used as a nickname for these technologies, emphasizing the clean emissions

There was a time when people got un-alived for building a water powered engine prototype

Things have changed

Musk: “this changes everything”

I am surprised it has taken this long. This tech has been around for a long long time. I saw a video on it running a car and a welding machine years ago. Glad to see the tech has finally found its way to general knowledge.

Now if they can come up with an energy effective way to distill water, nuclear anyone?

.

The process is simple ... run an electric current through water and collect the gases that form on the electrodes ... one is hydrogen the other is oxygen ... all that electrical energy is converted into chemical energy ...

Now burn the gases in an engine and the chemical energy is released into mechanical energy ... go, car, go ...

Hydrogen is safer than gasoline ... has Toyota developed better efficiencies? ... I guess so, they can only post the The Truth on Instagram ... right? ...

Yes schoolkids do simple electrolysis experiments to make hydrogen in the classroom. It is clearly not that simple as an engine since no car company has attempted to create it. As I posted, Toyota patented a WATER COOLED hydrogen engine, not a WATER POWERED hydrogen engine.
