Watched the remake of Planet Of The Apes with Mark Wahlberg last night.........

While not nearly as good as the original with Charlton Heston, the special effects and makeup are fantastic. As a bonus Helena Bonham-Carter stars as a "cute" ape. And Kris Kristofferson and David Warner also feature in the film. I'd say it's definitely worth watching.

It wasn't bad, it does not stand in comparison to the depth of the original however.
The remake concentrated more on action than drama

The Ape movies got worse as they went along but Hollywood managed to make a couple of bucks and that's all it took.
