I watched the Superbowl game last night on my own terms. I peddled a recumbent exercise bike and used my TV remote to block the sound on all the insipid advertising. I did not watch the halftime show at all. By not viewing the ads, I believe I escaped the drop in intelligence that goes with the biggest events on television. That goes for the Olympics as well though I have almost never watched any of that. Figure skating and events that require judging belong in the circus, not the Olympics.

Advertising algorithms are the most dangerous aspect of modern sports entertainment as people are encouraged to eat bad food, drink too much booze, and take bad medicine while they see others engage in physical exploits. All kinds of sneaky political neuromarketing are inserted into these ads subliminally to control minds and with AI this is getting worse.

As I said, I watched the game on my own terms. I have no idea what others did or even they recognize what is happening.

I only watched the 3rd quarter, followed the first half a little online and saw the game sucked, then watched the 3rd quarter in a packed and very loud sports bar and said 'I'm outta here'.

Its recumbent, not incumbent.

Perhaps watch with the sound on next time...your intelligence isn't going to drop any lower.

Were you always such a paranoid sourpus?

You should have waited, but thanks for noticing.

4th quarter was the only good quarter unless you like punts and field goals
The NFL does parity. It is fair or smarter people know the system, and it is taken advantage of like the Patriots did for the first two decades of the 21st century. That game sucked. And Drake Maye was served up negatively by the broadcasters that other quarterbacks would not have. In the end, the AFC was minor league. And the Eagles blew an opportunity with their schizophrenic coaching.

Find all the ads. What percentage of white people were in those ads? What percentage of white people are in America today? Just asking.

Drake Maye was fed to the wolves by his O Line
But he looked nothing like an MVP candidate

Welcome back 1950s

He lost the MVP vote by one or two votes, one of the closest votes ever, imagine if he won it?
Didn’t see much of Maye all year
He didn’t impress in the playoffs or SB

Maybe his soft regular season schedule hid his flaws

So who the **** cares, other than you.

One stat late in the game caught my attention. The Seattle Seahawks broke a record by having scored the most points in a single season in the history of the sport.
