WATCH: Egyptian Activist Addresses Occupy Wall Street Crowd

Thank you for the kind words. I cherish them...

your welcome, I know you would ignore the post before that because you are deficient in intelligence to debate me...

Well, maybe I'm skeert. You sounds so intelligent...

Keep going man, you don't look like you have no answer for what I say

You are the guy who said, who cares what its for at least they are out there doing something positive

Which is again an unmatched statement in stupidity.

But keep going try to come up with some jokes, just could you at least make them funny?

The vast amount of the population hasn't seen a real rise in wages in going on 40 yrs. while the rich have gotten richer and obscenely so. Put the Rand books (which are "fiction" BTW ;) ) down fools!!!

Yea you know what started just over 40 yrs ago.. the Entitlement programs and "Great Society"...

Entitlement programs keep you poor. The difference between you idiots and me is I don't believe the republicans are solely to blame, the left has acted in cohesion with them. Can't you see it you moron? The establishment right comes up with plans that favor the rich while the left comes up with plans to keep you poor. I know, I grew up in a house that qualified for welfare and all that, but what most people don't know is they foster dependency.

I've been thinking...

On a serious note, I'm not sure what I think about an Egyptian activist addressing OWS. On the face of it, I see it as a small thing. However, it got me thinking about all the foreign agitators and terrorists who may be planning ways to manipulate OWS to further their goals against America. I'm sure they would like nothing better than to see America overthrown from within. I can only hope that the people behind OWS will be careful about who they allow to influence their movement. This may turn into the Wild West before it's over.

Thousands of Occupy Wall Street supporters gathered in Washington Square Park on Saturday afternoon for a General Assembly intended to spread the movement's message. After several introductory speakers, the crowd lit up when an Egyptian activist named Mohammed Ezzeldin explained what he saw was the connection between Occupy Wall Street and the protests against Hosni Mubarak.

"I am coming from there -- from the Arab Spring. From the Arab Spring to the fall of Wall Street," Ezzeldin said, his voice echoed by the crowd of thousands. "From Liberation Square to Washington Square, to the fall of Wall Street and market domination, and capitalist domination."

His passionate speech, which even included a reference to Karl Marx, made a startling comparison between what happened in Egypt earlier this year and what is now happening in the United States.

"Many things separate us," he said. "National borders. Homeland insecurities. Armies, corporations and police. They have their laws. They have their debts. And we have our revolution. We are the 99 percent."

With the irony being that the military council now controls the country of Egypt and is treating the people the same way the Mubarrak regime did. The people in Egypt are no better off.

Only complete idiots, or corporate stooges, would draw a comparison between OWS and Tahrir square.

Which are you?

I have to admit... I thought you were seriously thinking it was a good thing.

It is very concerning to me as well, that outside forces might try to manipulate some of the activists.
We dont need that... we've got enough probles already.

Good post Lakhota.

See, we can be friendly at times. :wink_2:
