I would attribute that to the high number of Black people living in DC. Look at the racial demographics of DC: Ward 8 of the District of Columbia has a population of 3,437 white people and 73,946 Black or African American people. Most of those are 25-34 years old, and have an average median income of $27,335.

That's why there is so much crime in DC. But there is another factor which surprisingly, the left never mentions. They often accuse the unvaccinated of being the cause when outbreaks occur. But they never mention the fact that Blacks are the most unvaccinated segment of society...

"As of December 13, 2021, CDC reported that race/ethnicity was known for 70% of people who had received at least one dose of the vaccine. Among this group, nearly two thirds were White (58%), 10% were Black, 19% were Hispanic, 6% were Asian, 1% were American Indian or Alaska Native (AIAN), and <1% were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander (NHOPI), while 6% reported multiple or other race."

So apparently, like the high murder rate in Black communities, the left also gives them a free pass on refusing to be vaccinated. While at the same time, they accuse conservative Republican Trump-supporters as being the cause of outbreaks.

The majority of those in DC unvaxxed are black.
Blacks make up over 50% of the population but only 34% of blacks are vaxxed.
That means that 1/3 of the population are unvaxxed and those are black.

Also, unless you are a federal employee, not one federal mandate has yet applied to you. They have all been fromThe States.
