I wouldn't have done anything differently than Biden did either. Actually, I would have done a few things differently but at the time, I think it was the right answer. Don't give them any ammunition to use against you. Of course they used her answer against her anyways so it was a no win question.
I wonder if Republicans were behind the flooding of the border. Why did all those refuges come flooding to our border on Biden's watch?
Rudy Giuliani, has a history of working for foreign entities, including some with interests that conflicted with U.S. foreign policy. Though he has not been charged with working illegally for a foreign government, he has faced federal investigation over his activities in Ukraine, and critics have raised ethical questions about his paid work abroad.
- Ukraine: Giuliani was a central figure in the 2019 Trump-Ukraine scandal. As Trump's personal lawyer, he pressured Ukrainian officials to investigate then-rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) requires U.S. persons acting as "agents of foreign principals" to register with the Department of Justice (DOJ). In November 2022, federal prosecutors ended a two-year investigation into Giuliani's Ukraine dealings without filing criminal charges related to foreign lobbying.
- Venezuela: A wealthy Venezuelan energy executive hired Giuliani to help contest a Justice Department money laundering investigation. Giuliani lobbied the DOJ on the executive's behalf.
- Qatar: Giuliani has taken money from the Qatari government for consulting services.
- Iranian exiles: He has received tens of thousands of dollars in speaking fees to advocate for the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK), an exiled opposition group.
- Romania: Giuliani's criticism of Romania's anti-corruption efforts while representing a client there drew attention from the State Department in 2017.
- Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Mexico: Since leaving office, Giuliani's security consulting firm has provided services in multiple countries across Latin America.
