Since they unified the budget & used all he payroll tax to fund tax breaks on dividends, the working class has been subsidizing the 1%. The 1% will never allow for a unified no loophole flat tax on everyone, because they would lose their subsidy. In this country the government steals from the poor & gives to the rich. Reverse Robbin Hood. If we would just tax every dollar made in the USA at 19% regardless of weather it is dividends or wages, there would be no deficit.

The living standard of us workers have been backsliding every since this tax illusion was launched. Cost of living is soaring compared to wages. Wallstreet causes all the inflation. Wage price spiral is 100% fiction & has never happened. The wealthy created & donate to college economics courses to indoctrinate sheeple into believing such things as higher wages cause higher prices. In the real world high wages stop inflation, raise employment levels & raise living standards. Those people are maybe the top 5% of the 1%. The rest are transient members of that group, who cycle in and out of the top percentage every year.

Also, there needs to be a distinction between earnings and accumulated wealth. The people you mentioned have generational wealth. They are not those who had a couple of huge years in the real estate market or construction business, who then regressed back to their occupational means in the ensuing years.
