What does this all mean? One of the few countries I haven't really paid much attention to the news about for many years now.

Middle East doing Middle East things. The world wonders why Israel is forced to take such a firm approach in their region? These types of high profile government issues, even if not this swift and aggressive, seem to happen every few months in one of the countries in the region.

The rise of these terror groups is really startling and broad of late.

BEIRUT (AP) — The head of a Syrian opposition war monitor said early Sunday that Syria’s President Bashar Assad left the country for an undisclosed location.
Rami Abdurrahman of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told The Associated Press that Assad took a flight from Damascus early Sunday.

Abdurrahman’s comments came shortly after Syrian insurgents said they had entered Damascus, capping a stunning advance across the country, as residents of the capital reported sounds of gunfire and explosions.

Welcome to the Islamist Republic of Syria.

Once the barbarians take over Damascus, groups like ISIS will be battling for control of the "government". Will the CIA money and weapons be going to the right people?

Of course not, there are no "right people".

Well now...this is interesting!

I smell a TRAP!

Assad is a brutal viscous dictator and his army ain't much better. Why would they give up damascus with little to no fight?

Maybe...just maybe...they "fled" to their hidey holes on the outskirts of the city...let the rebels take the city & celebrate all night...and kill them in the morning when all the rebels are consolidated in one location.

Easy pickin's!

If I'm correct...this is gonna be a brutal night & day in syria!

Assad was backed by Iran, but they are pulling out and the Syrian rebels seem to have the upper hand. Seems like a good thing to me as long as Biden doesn't launch missiles into Syria.

It's complicated. Yes, Syria's Assad is aligned with Russia and Iran, but those "rebels" are radical Islamists who were former Al-Qaeda and ISIS members, and who are actually being supported by the US.

It makes you wonder, especially since 2025 is starting out with a big "WTF." :laughing0301:

WTF.webp

Yes the Middle East has been a 2000 year long shit show. Now the question is, will the rebel groups figure out that if they cooperate with each other THEY could be the new government of a country. Or will they be stupid Muslims and fight with each other over power and plunder the country? I'll take stupid Muslims for $400 Alex.

But wait, it gets even more complicated: The NATO member Turkey is also taking part in this clusterfuck, and is supporting the radical Islamic "rebels" because they want dibs on the Kurdish oil fields that our troops are guarding.

This shit will make your head spin if you think about it. :laughing0301:

A lot of Syrian Christian support the Assad government apparently.

It was confirmed by the president-elect, who may have been briefed by intelligence officials on the matter.

The Assad regime ruled Syria for over 50 years.

The fact that governments change do not justify the Zionist Entity engaging in Apartheid or Genocide.

They should probably just go back to Europe where they came from.

no they didn't. He fell in about a week. Clearly, no one was supporting him or willing to fight for him at this point.

Well that's funny. In another time, I seem to remember other racists saying Negroes should go back where they came from too.

Black people were brought over here in chains.

Zionists went to Palestine because they couldn't live in harmony with their fellow white people in Europe.

Israel has always been the land of the Jews. Read your Bible.

I did.

I concluded it was a lot of superstitious garbage.

It certainly doesn't entitle a bunch of white Europeans to Palestinian land because they practice a degenerate version of the religion practiced there 2000 years ago.
