Trump spent $8 trillion in just 4 years. That created a huge amount of inflation. Also, the oil industry went into a bust cycle 9 months before Biden took office.
Biden didn't improve anything. But it was Trump who forced the massive inflation increases.

It appears to me that the budget situation is not as dire as it appears, due to additional revenue from tariffs, and there are many spending cuts that are not being counted.

We were told that in March there was going to be huge spending cuts. That didn't happen.
And spending cuts, real ones, aren't going to happen with this one. It's gotten bigger at both stages.

The BBB is in committee to reconcile the Senate and House versions....
It could die there....and likely will.
Instead of a BBB we might end up with the "machine" approach where one bill after another with single issues either is voted up or down with no discussion, riders, or amendments. (Which is the best way to do this)
Including the taxes on Social Security (which needs its own separate bill anyway) and taxes on gratuities, overtime, and etc.
Then the removal of illegal immigrants from Medicaid roles and SS payments....and on down the line....getting each and every Congressman and woman on record with each and every one of these issues with zero excuses.
Because what it is....Congress wants to use excuses of voting in favor of spending bills because something else was in the bill they wanted more. which is just more BS excuses
I say let's toss EVERY INCUMBENT. Retain no one. It doesn't matter....they have all stolen enough.
