Voters punished Biden for problems he didn't cause and effectively addressed

Fair enough.

It was the over pumping for a dozen years.

I read where they want to go to 3%. Mistake. We just seem to love this boom/bust economy for some odd reason.
People would like affordable mortgage rates. Why do you hate americans so much?

It's not up to the taxpayers to "save GM".

I remember before the bankruptcy it was argued that GM couldn't go through a bankruptcy as it would be disastrous for the industry.

I would note that airlines had gone through them many times.

They did go through a bankruptcy of sorts (granted not a proper one) and the doom and gloom never happened.

Now where in this capitalism that you pretend to support do we find the part where the taxpayers should be on the hook for billions of dollars to prop up a poorly run business?
and yet obammy did that.

While I agree iwth all of this, I can't give Biden a pass. He and the people around him knew by 2023 that he wasn't up to another campaign. He insisted on running anyway, knowing very well that he couldn't go out and make the case about how he brought the economy back.

Had he withdrawn, whoever got the nomination would have been able to run a more vigorous campaign than the poor lady who had 107 days to put together a campaign.
I suspect, result might have been the same. Would American have voted for Newsom or Whitmer? I doubt it.

People didn’t like Trump’s leadership during COVID (and before). That’s not blaming him for something he didn’t do. That’s blaming him for being a bad leader.
no demofks didn't like, stop including the other 70% in your derangement. So stop.

I suspect, result might have been the same. Would American have voted for Newsom or Whitmer? I doubt it.
we know that scamala wouldn't have been near anything. If she even got one vote.

COVID caused inflation. Biden didn’t cause COVID.

You are not to be believed.

First Biden/Harris told us inflation was "transitory."

Then they changed the story that it was "Putin's price hike" because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Then they tried to tell us it was "greedflation" or "shrinkflation"

When in reality, that 9.1% inflation rate was caused by massive spending bills such as Biden's post-Covid spending spree, even though Covid was over, the "American Rescue Plan,” the “Bipartisan Infrastructure Act,” or the worst-named bill perhaps in American history, the “Inflation Reduction Act.” That idiot Biden even claimed that inflation was 9.1% when he took office, which was a damned lie.

Nor are you able to comprehend basic economic systems and how they work (or work poorly).

We have been explaining it.

You sit dumbfounded.
yet you can't challenge me. I asked for you summary, you deflected with some nonsense shit.

‘In what will be a generous gift to his successor, President Joe Biden beat inflation, brought down gas prices, created millions of jobs, spurred strong growth, boosted retirement savings and revived American manufacturing — just in time for Donald Trump to take credit for all of it.

Any objective assessment of Biden’s tenure would show him to have been a highly successful president, especially on economics (even if no president can actually bring down the price of gas all by himself). The fact that he is widely viewed as a failure shows just how warped our political and informational systems are.

In the inevitable circular firing squad Democrats and progressives are now assembling, one of the most prominent criticisms is that the party plays too much to its highly educated base, and if it wants to succeed then it must reconnect with working-class voters. As Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said Wednesday, “It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working-class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.”

Yet, far from “abandoning” working-class people, Biden’s has been the most economically populist presidency in decades, probably since FDR’s. He was the first president to walk a picket line, with striking autoworkers. His labor record has been exemplary: He banned noncompete agreements for most workers, expanded overtime pay and saved the pensions of hundreds of thousands of workers. The Federal Trade Commission is finally attacking monopoly power. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which all but lay fallow under Trump, is protecting consumers again. The bills he signed have begun a manufacturing boom, focused purposefully on jobs that don’t require college degrees.’

President Biden, yet another Democratic president who cleaned up yet another Republican mess.

Trump inherited a strong economy from President Obama – a strong economy Trump managed to run into the ground.

Trump again inherits a strong economy from President Biden – which Trump will likely run into the ground.
Obama presided over the slowest recovery from recession in history. More than 90% of the jobs created during his administration were part time and/or temporary jobs with few or no benefits. The sluggish and anemic economy was felt by most Americans and, like is also the case in the Biden administration, 'cooking the books' and media distortion didn't convince anybody that much of anything was good. That's why Hillary lost in 2016.

The huge majority of Biden's 'job creation' has been in government, healthcare, and low paid hospitality jobs.

Biden signed insane massive spending bills that greatly exacerbated inflation but have done pretty much nothing to improve the lives of Mr. and Mrs. American.

Biden has allowed, even encouraged, the country to be overrun by tens of millions of illegal migrants, many of whom are very bad actors and all of whom are further draining massive resources from our country.

I am quite certain it was his weak and ineffective foreign policy that inspired and provoked two major wars and other hostilities that are now also draining resources from our country.

And Kamala and Biden insisted she was in on all of it.

Again the Democrat propaganda machine we know as the MSM simply can't sugar coat it enough to convince we ordinary Americans that things are good or getting better.

I paid $2.29 cents for a head of lettuce yesterday.

That is why Kamala lost.

And as for what Trump inherited and what he accomplished in his first term of office and promises for the second:

There’s plenty of blame to go around. Regardless of how much responsibility he bears, he got 100% of the blame.

That is what happens when you are president. Him and the Democrats did contribute to it so one can't feel that bad for him.

BIden wasn't on the ballot last week, so, no he wasn't "punished".

Further, from his appearances after the votes were counted, Sleepy Joe looks really pleased at the results and not feeling "punished" at all as the Democrat Party drummed him off the ballot.

He kinda was.

Harris couldn't think of one thing that she would do differently.
Trump team strategy to irrevocably tie Harris to Biden administration policies and actions, almost wrote itself, with her help. To beat Harris, they still got to run against Biden, as they wanted to in the beginning.

factually they ran against the demofks plan, the one they gave to creepy and the one handed down to scamala. And their record for the last four years. People said, you're fired.

Yeah. That’s not reality. That’s partisan narrative.

Inflation has many causes, you can’t pin it on 3 spending bills.

If you weren’t such a partisan hack, you’d know this.

I do not dispute there are millions of Americans who are not benefitting from the economy's strength. Only that empirically speaking the numbers don't lie.
Do you hear yourself? I'm guessing not. Wow.

It really kind of started at the beginning of the century, didn't it? Greenspan in the Bush years propped up the economy wiht low interests rates, for the sake of Wall Street and corporate interests, though reasoned on recovery from 9-11 and the effects of the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama era policy, in many ways, was somewhat chickenshit about deviating from Greenspan's unapologetic neoliberalism. After so much time equating cheap/nearly free access to new money as the only avenue to prosperity, many people have been basically conditioned to accept an antagonistic concept of the economy.

Even with Trump and Biden, Obama was to me the biggest disappointment. It led in large part to Trump.

Not just with monetary policy either. (but that is for a different topic)

And in response to all this

“Face diaper “

Which ironically occurred during the Trump Admin
