The visitor messages are the little messages that you can leave on other peoples profiles. VM= visitor message and it is public.
To get to someones profile including your own, click onto your or their name.
To leave a message for someone, you to go their profile and leave the message. Leaving a message on your own page ,while funny, is not the way to do it. Your messages will get lost in the shuffle or go unanswered.
To follow a conversation back and forth, there is a small button for View Conversation
