Deflection won't work cupcake.
That's quite a laundry list of the lies that Republicans tell themselves about Democrats, but as usual, none of it is true, but let's allowed this misguided attempt at deflection pass. I was quite amused by the Hitler reference though. Especially considering that Hitler didn't "model" the NAZI Party on anything. He co-opted that National Socialist Party, an existing and vulnerable political party in Germany. It gave his authoritarian candidacy the veneer of being the representative of a legitmate maintstream political party. Much like Donald Trump co-opting the Republican Party gave his racist, misogynistic, authoritarian candidacy the legitimacy of a mainstream Republican Party.
You keep bringing up things that were happening 100 years ago, and then lying about then trying to politicize what happened then through a partisan lens. The racism exhibted by members of both parties throughout American history is well documented and non-partisan, and can more easily be explained by the Mason Dixon Line that it can by Republicans and Democrats.
But what is happneing today in terms of the attack on voters' rights across the USA can be laid squarely at the feet of the Republican Parties who have used their control of State Houses since 2000, to aggressively gerrymander Congressional Districts to restrict the access of urban and poor voters to the ballot box.
Republicans have used "exact match" to keep voters in "poor neighbourhoods" from casting votes. The most savage abuses are to deprive Native Americans of their voting rights. How can you keep people who have lived on this land since your ancestors lived in caves in Europe, the right to vote in an election? Seriously!
When Republicans in the House and the Senate, allowed the Voters' Rights Act to lapse, when Obama was President, Mitch McConnell said it dated back to the 1960's and was no longer necessary. Every systemic violation of voters's rights we've seen since that Act was allowed to lapse, has been committed by Republic officials at the state level. Moving polling stations outside the city limits to an area no accessible by public transit?
Republican voters are declining in number. Republicans haven't won the popular vote in a Presidential election since George H.W. Bush was elected. Bush 43 won re-election but both he an Trump were elected by the Electoral College, not the people. And both have been unmitigated disasters as President.
Republicans have only maintained control of the House via agressive gerrymandering. The've lost the overall popular vote for Congress too. The Republican Party is the party of old rural white men, and even in the rural areas of America, towns and cities are growing larger, and the urban vote supports Democratic policies and workers' rights.
Trump is fighting against non-white immigration because his radical evangelical, white base, is easily frightened into believing that their rights are under assault. But Trump has jumped the shark with both the Ukrainian phone call, and abandoning the Kurds, and letting 10,000 ISIS fighters lose on Europe. The Apprentice: White House edition is going to end the people of the United States of America, through their spokespeople, the Congress of the United States, are going to tell the Donald "Donald J. Trump - you're FIRED. Please vacate the White House immediately."
It's been the best reality show on TV for the past 3 years, but the outcome was inevitable. Elect a corruption liar, and you get a lying corrupt President. You're like the mistress, who's lover divorces his wife and marries her, only to have him cheat on her. Did you think he was going to be faithful to you, when he wasn't faithful to his prior wives? When you elect a lying con-man as President, what you get is a President who lies, and runs cons on the American people, in order to line his own pockets. What ever made you think you were any different than any other mark he's fleeced throughout his life.
That you're still defending Donald Trump is proof positive that there really are people out there who are so stupid, that you can fool some of the people all of the time.
Democrats under Nancy Pelosi have passed a new Voter's Rights Act, Mitch McConnell refuses to bring it to the floor of the Senate. Deal in Reality. Deal in the Present:
