As a tech bro I used to make 6 figures doing almost nothing at all. I used to play World Of Warcraft during meetings. As a Medical Assistant I get run ragged on 10-hour shifts starting at 6am and make $20 an hour.

I truly love my job. But capitalism doesn’t reward hard work. It punishes it.

Krugman.

lol

There is no "downfall of capitalism".

People will never stop selling things to each other.

Won't happen.

Seems mostly like pseudo-populism from the wealthy and over-privileged.

I liked when Yaroufakis said Amazon is a Stalinist organization.

Deirdre (born Donald) McCloskey lol

People on the left seem so outraged by Google and other such corporations but they never do anything about it because these companies are so thoroughly woke.

The problem isn't capitalism as an economic system. It's clearly the best system we have produced. Not even close.

The problem is the way it's applied. And the way it has been applied is so simplistic and dysfunctional that its dysfunction has opened the door to other ideas. So in essence, many of those who claim to protect capitalism are having the opposite effect.

First thing would to teach people what Capitalism, Socialism, Democratic Socialism and Social Democracy is...

US is either a Social Democracy or Regulated Capitalist country and has been that way since almost its inception...

The idiots who shout Communism or Marxism are that idiots, they are just showing their ignorance on the subject... Rem: Don't argue with idiots

So really US is on a sliding scale between centre and centre right politics (with the odd Left and Right policy thrown in)...

Anyone suggesting to go too far to on side or the other should be ignored as pretty much an idiot, it has been well proven to be a disaster.

So where is US... Very much Center Right to Right in a global comparison, as example Obamacare would a centre right policy.

The powerhouse countries in EU like Germany have laws more to the left and the country seems to metrics which are preforming better than US, especially in the last 20 years (lower poverty, less income inequality, lower taxes for most of the population, better education/Healthcare...).
This doesn't mean Left wing policy is the only way but it does mean the guy calling Obamacare and Communist should be dutifully ignored...Germany has a far more comprehensive system and they ran 9 of the last 12 years with a surplus...

Krugman is a leading economist? :laughing0301: :laughing0301: :laughing0301:

That moron has never been right.

Leftist elites love to pose as enemies of big corporations, pose as populists. In reality these elites are dependent on unaccountable big companies and big government.

Where would people like aristocrat Deirdre (born Donald) McCloskey be without the support of these powerful institutions? Who would pay for 100s of 1000s of $$$$ worth of elective surgeries? Who would protect her from being “misgendered”? Who would hire her as an activist?

What is going on is that workers are being exploited so the pockets of the rich can be lined. The rich are getting richer and everyone else is getting poorer.

Krugman is not a "leading economist"

He is a left wing liar who is associated with the NYT....
