Why are more and more young men giving up on women and checking out of society?
They’re calling it The Sexodus – an entire generation of boys abandoning female company, relinquishing relationships and retreating into a virtual reality world of pornography, video games, lad culture and chemical addictions.
Everybody seems to have checked out.
This is a generation of detached relationships.
Personal interactions have been replaced with Facebook updates
I'm 49, when I was a kid, you couldn't keep us in the house.
There weren't video games, tablets, computers, cell phones...
shit, cordless phones still weren't out, TV wasn't 24/7,
you pushed a loan mower and shoveled snow,
there wasn't Netflix or even video stores yet...
As I got older, I hung out at the video arcade, went roller skating,
bowling, older, concerts and clubs
With the exception of forum boards, I am anti social networking
No twitter, Facebook, Instagram...is MySpace still a thing?
I have a dumb phone, so no selfies, I'm off the grid.
Young boys have other things
to occupy their time with besides girls.
Why should that be a bad thing, or a red flag.
Pornography is nothing new, drugs are nothing new,
being an idiot when your with the boys is nothing new.
Why does everything need to have a label, sexodus
Anecdotally, the flip side of the equation also seems to be true. How often do you hear women who have resisted the brainwashing of radical feminism bemoaning the fact that they can no longer find “real men”? Men who are actually confident enough to know how to act around women without being constantly terrified that every word they utter, every behavior they express, every opinion they espouse, may be taken as offensive, sexist or predatory.
Well, to me, a real man is someone who works, pays his bills,
is financially secure, isn't stuck on his mothers nipple,
is decisive, loyal, trust worthy, loving and dependable.
I stated in a different post, somewhere,
I always had more guy friends then girl friends.
I'm easy to be around, fun, and can hold my own with the guys.
They would usually be the ones turning red, not me. :0)
Common sense goes a long way...
If a guy is unsure, if what he says will be taken the wrong way,
chances are he should just keep quiet.
But, then again, if a guy is with a women,
walking on eggshells and can't be himself,
my best advice would be to move along.
I rather be hated for who I am,
then loved for who I am not.
