... and I'll let the professor explain it.

A great concept here...

See, 4D Is Lost at Sea

The maximum velocity in the universe that created ours is c-squared, which was its entry speed. So Hubble is seeing it after it lost some of its velocity by creating light, matter, and energy. Most of what else we see has already dwindled down to c.

Its velocity comes from how much of the original substance is left. It's not like a ship, which goes faster when it jettisons its cargo. The phenomenon is no surprise to me.

Still, it is an interesting concept and one I had not even considered.

Who would postulate that expansion was greater than the only real constant in the Universe: The speed of light?

Does the speed of light itself travel faster inside an expanding universe that it would in a stagnant universe?

Shaming Sheldon

Not meaning to insult the useless escapists whose motto is "Science for Science's Sake," but what practical value does this shiny object have?
Research and power design issues. I'm not a plasma expert, but this is just a simple demonstration of a concept.
