He did get 10 years and should have gotten more. Do you have any idea how many violent blacks with long arrest records stay out of prison. It would help if you understood stand your ground law. An imminent threat of serious bodily injury or death must exist. When you consider the large numbers of blacks with long prior arrest for violence out of prison committing more crimes you have it backwards. No bail defund police DAs reducing charges and keeping violent blacks free refutes your point.
