Those other cases had overwealming evidence against thug adults, and yet they were either acquitted or got minimal sentences, because they belonged to favored races (White or Asian).

Shoot three people during a demonstration against police brutality? Acquitted.
Shoot a black kid you spent an hour stalking? Acquitted.

You have to take each case individually and weigh the evidence, and present it to a jury.
This case had OVERWHELMING evidence that the defendant had ample opportunity to deescalate the situation by simply leaving.
