This is the trouble, when law-abiding citizen remain unarmed, while the lawless do as they please. The city is hardly a gun free zone, (most criminal thugs do go armed) but the chances of encountering armed law-abiding citizens on the street is very low, as they abide by the law. They honor no other state's ccw permit, as far as I know. It is one of the last states in the country I would visit, nor should any other US Citizen, that cares of their ability to self protect.

They surplused them off some years ago, in the late 80s I believe.....I have one.

They are hard to find correct/complete these days as the IDF stamped the serial into the stock that matched the receiver serial.

Most folks (at the time of importation) wanted GI stocks without the serial, so they switched them out (destroying their full history) as GI stocks were plentiful back then.

Dude! I am so Fcking impressed! At any one given point in time, between personal sales, your collection appears to be worthy of opening a museum, that would be a "must stop" if vacationing in your region. It is not just the collection, either. Your knowledge of the pieces you collect (and I assume trade) is as impressive or more so, as anyone I have ever talked with, even if just over the internet. If you had one, I would definitely be a YouTube subscriber to your channel.

I used to have a lot of friends in and often visited Queens. I was even offered a job there and free housing. I turned it down. And this was in one of the best parts of Queens. I wouldn't go back there now if you paid me.

Shame. Long Island had really nice weather in the Fall.
