He does a little show at the end of the race, because, guess what? He just beat the world's best is whatever race he just ran. You can be a cocky bastard for a few seconds when you do that, in my opinion, no harm, no foul.

But when someone else is getting thier recognition via the anthem, he stopped what he was doing. He knew it was someone else's moment, not his, and he showed respect.
