Then there are a lot of dumb American voters as these two are mutually opposite.

• The quicker this war ends, the better the odds of the IRGC retaining some form of power.
• The more thoroughly the IRGC and mullahs are eliminated, the longer this war drags on.

I want the IRGC and the radical muslim theocracy behind them completely eliminated. Heads of state of Iran (those left) should be arrested and brought up on charges of crimes against humanity before the Hague for the 35,000-95,000 people murdered there. I'm more than willing to pay a little more for gas or drive a bit less if this is all that's needed to accomplish that goal.

In Iran, the God Mafia (aka "IRGC") runs and controls everything, and the People have no say. As with Cuba, everyone with any balls and desire for change has either left or been shot or imprisoned. Not only that, but they have a network of "supporters" around the world - ESPECIALLY in the U.S. - and its global influence cannot be diminished, especially with the tacit support they get from the American Left.

The BEST that Trump can achieve is to neuter the bastards in Iran and make it extremely difficult for them to continue to terrorize their neighbors.

He's working on it. Regime change ain't gonna happen.

Regardless, Iran should be far less an interest to the U.S than Taiwan and primarily as a Chinese vassal state. Make China spend money there to fortify Iran but focus on heavily arming Japan and Taiwan until China wishes it did not overextend into Americas orbit.

Getting Greenlanders to vote on their future and even Cuba is more important to Americas long term strategically. Iran should be an alternative issue now more flexible as their capacity to harm other nations in the region has decreased. They have not made any new friends over the last three weeks.

Today is a temporary pause but the stone cold hard facts are that the 15th century regime will have to be obliterated so the wonderful young people of the country can flourish and the world can be way more secure

A high-altitude nuclear blast over Tehran would not injure anyone and would produce nominal radioactive fallout. However, it will generate an EMP that will knock out electronics, electric grid, and communications. The weak-minded cavemen in Iran will think that they have been smited by the Hand of God Himself! And surely Allah would not have allowed that if Allah was still around. Thus, the Yahweh most certainly defeated Allah and is now setting His sight on the heathens in Iran! Imagine how they would react to the huge 1-mile wide fireball 10 miles in the sky! It would be glorious and would bring the war to a close, and in doing so will save countless lives!
