Americans are buying electric vehicles at a record pace, undeterred by rising prices and long waits for delivery, a further indication that the twilight of the internal combustion engine is on the horizon.

Vehicles that run on batteries accounted for 5.6 percent of new-car sales from April through June, still a small slice of the market but twice the share a year ago, according to Cox Automotive, an industry consulting firm. Overall, new-car sales declined 20 percent.

I see so many on the road. Check out these luxury models, especially the Lucid. It is a good looking car.

EV's have a niche. It's not to replace ICE vehicles.

The Polestar 2 vs Tesla. I would consider it over the VW, too.

I like where the market is going. The phase out of internal combustion engines has begun, whether the moron class can accept it or not is irrelevant. It will take another 25 years or so, but the majority of vehicles on the road by then will be EVs.

I am looking at a couple of hybrids, which are probably more practical right now until the bugs are worked out by the major auto manufacturers. They have been working the bugs out of ICE vehicles for how long now?

The fossil fuel addicts are the crack heads of the energy sector. When you’re an addict, the only thing you can see is the next fix. It will take a lot of rehab and recovery to ween them off their habits.

One of our clients has the Lucid Air Dream in gold. He waited 2 years for delivery. Over 500 mile range. Very nice car.

Not going to happen. It's just math.

Yes, we are addicted to high energy density technologies which can be quickly refueled . Good luck going cross country in an EV even in 25 years.

The underlying technology of internal combustion engines hasn't changed.

"Pace"

"Rate"

"Growth"

All loose association terms used by progressives and propagandists to convey the fakery.

Draw back and look at the only important question to be answered, "As compared to what?" :eusa_dance: :eusa_dance:

Where the progressive argument always collapsed...yuk...yuk...

Americans don't want EV's

One quick gander at the raw numbers....laughable
