Then he may join Saddam and Gaddafi.Erdogan has become a de facto dictator, whom even the Army cannot overthrow any longer. He will never be seen as weak, or giving away anything to the Kurds

Rejected by whom, hasbara?still pushing this old map from a rejected theory?
Iraq is being divided as we speak, and Syria isn't far behind.
Oden Yinon's plan is obviously far from rejection.
Rejected by whom in '79 Austria? We've had this dance on other boards. It was proposed and rejected back in '79 in Austria.
Either you have a short term memory problem or enjoy promoting false information a fact.
Never. Türkiye has the second largest force in NATO and is an ally. For now. But the Turks won't let anyone interfere with their country. They feel they didn't get enough land when the Ottoman Empire collapsed as it is.Then he may join Saddam and Gaddafi.Erdogan has become a de facto dictator, whom even the Army cannot overthrow any longer. It will be much harder to sell the New Middle East without "Free" Kurdistan. If Turkey doesn't contribute, Iraq and Iran will be even less inclined to share their land (and oil).Never. Iraq isn't part of the US. I don't see how we have the authority to split it up. Won't do a lick of good either waySplitting Up Iraq CounterPunch Tells the Facts Names the Names
"A bill that could divide Iraq into three separate entities has passed the US House Armed Services Committee by a vote of 60 to 2.
"The controversial draft bill will now be debated in the US House of Representatives where it will be voted on sometime in late May.
"If approved, President Barack Obama will be free to sidestep Iraq’s central government in Baghdad and provide arms and assistance directly to Sunnis and the Kurds that are fighting ISIS.
"This, in turn, will lead to the de facto partitioning of the battered country into three parts; Kurdistan, Shiastan, and Sunnistan."
"Iraq's fate was sealed from the moment we invaded; it has no future as a unitary state..." The current bill is part of the 2016 NDAA but its roots extend to a 1982 article by Oded Yinon which required Israel to become an imperial regional power in the Middle East by dividing Iraq and Syria into a warring constellation of sectarian-based satellites.
The Kurds will have to get their land from Syria, Iraq and Iran. Pottery Barn rules? If Obama decides to bypass the central government in Baghdad and arms Kurds and other Sunnis directly, what's left of Iraq will come apart at the seems. And the Shia in Iraq have said they will initiate attacks against Americans inside and outside Iraq.Iraq isn't part of the US. I don't see how we have the authority to split it up.
"...(The Zionist Plan for the Middle East, Israel Shahak)
"The GOP-led House Armed Services Committee’s bill embraces Yinon’s vision of a fragmented Iraq. (Note: Under the current bill, which is part of the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), as much as 60% of the proposed funds, or $429m, would flow directly to the 'Kurdish Peshmerga, the Sunni tribal security forces with a national security mission, and the Iraqi Sunni National Guard'.)
" Providing weapons to Sunni militias and the Kurdish Peshmerga will inevitably lead to the disintegration of the country, the ramping up of sectarian hostilities, and the strengthening of extremist groups operating in the region.
"It’s a prescription for disaster. Here’s a brief excerpt from Yinon’s piece on Iraq..."

My first thought as well. Not sure how Congress can vote to do that, exactly. It sounds like the writer doesn't understand how government works.
It doesn't look like Syria and Iraq will have much to say about their land; Iran might be convinced to bargain away some of its Kurdish problem in exchange for sanctions relief. Most of the world believes the Kurds deserve a homeland but at what cost? The Kurds will have to get their land from Syria, Iraq and Iran. Türkiye's 30 year civil war with the Kurds makes it impossible for them to concede an inch.

"The plan operates on two essential premises. To survive, Israel must 1) become an imperial regional power, and 2) must effect the division of the whole area into small states by the dissolution of all existing Arab states. Small here will depend on the ethnic or sectarian composition of each state. Consequently, the Zionist hope is that sectarian-based states become Israel's satellites and, ironically, its source of moral legitimation."So you are claiming that an article (to which neither you nor Counterpunch provide a link) by an Israeli journalist so obscure he doesn't have a webpage or search engine recognition is the source of Islamic State's creation? Really?
"Can you mindless Jew-haters be any more ridiculous?

Apparently the "Oden Yinon Plan" is a wholly fabricated figment of some overactive Nazi imagination intended for weak, hateful minds. See if you can find a direct link to the actual plan or to Yinon for that matter.

Shahak provided the translation of Oded Yinon's 1982 piece, "A Strategy for Israel in the 1980s" If you could learn to control your irrational hatred for those of us opposed to apartheid, perhaps you wouldn't make a complete fool of your so often?Of course, Shahak never uttered that opinion but rather it was a figment of Whitney's imagination. Somehow these fully cooked from thin air conspiracy theories are always fueled by the mindless hate of rabid bigots like ... you, GP
