United Airlines, not satisfied with manhandling the elderly or menacing women with perambulators has taken on causing the "mysterious death" of a potential world record breaking giant rabbit. (ChrisL, you may want to stop reading here)

According to various reports, the Flemish Giant Rabbit, Simon, boarded the cargo hold of an United flight from London Heathrow to Chicago O'Hare, on the 19th, in order to meet up with his new owner, allegedly a well-heeled celebrity, when upon landing, was discovered to be dead. No cause of death is known at this time.

One of world’s biggest bunnies dies aboard United flight

Simon, son of Darius, the current record holder of the world's largest rabbit, was 3 feet long and was fully expected to break his father's record of 4 and a half feet. He was being accompanied on the flight by the breeder, Annette Edwards of the UK. International rules require rabbits to be stored in the cargo hold in an heated, pressurized environment during flight. Simon was given a clean bill of health by veterinarians 3 hours before the flight.

This is the latest in a string of bad PR for the airline.
1) Off duty attendants were not allowed to board a flight because they were wearing leggings
2) An elderly doctor was forcibly ejected from a flight, requiring hospitalization, so the airline could move a flight crew to the destination
3) An abusive crew member lit into a mother with a stroller then offered to fight other passengers that interceded
