Under Trump, many people will become homeless

I have two friends that live in Section 8 housing. They are paying $1400 for a 1-bedroom apartment. 1-bedroom apartments where I live are going for $2500. If their Section 8 grant is withdrawn, they will not be able to pay for it.
1) Where do you live that a one bedroom is $25?
2) If you can afford it, why can't your "two friends?"
3) Regardless of how you answer 2), why do I need to pay for them to live in an expensive area, instead of them paying to move to somewhere cheaper?

If they pay $1400, how much does Section 8 pay?

Have you ever considered the fact that, if millions of illegals have to give up their 3-star motel rooms (and other housing), the law of supply and demand will kick in???

The market will balance out without the free giveaways, and rent will drop (or units will remain empty).

Isn't it possible we can pay OUR bills if we get the freeloaders out of our wallets???

$25? No, $2500 and it is in Miami Florida

My mistake.

So . . . why can you afford it and your "two friends" cannot?

How do I take on an obligation to help them pay for such an expensive area, while I work hard to pay for my home in a much more modest one?
Because I am financially set after working (and being good and successful and earning a large income) for 59 years and my friends have not done any, or even had the opportunity to do that. They do not have the innate talent I was born with. Rich and very smart parents.

Are they even worse at math than you are? Damn!

If you can't accept it, I suggest you move to the liberal paradise of Commiefornia, where you can live in a tent and shit in the streets...

But it's only temporary, since Newsom is too busy giving an extinct smelt fresh water to fight the wildfires!!!!
I just stated the facts, it sounds like you are the one having trouble accepting them.

Not done any what? Work?

But if they choose to, and to do it with tenacity and drive, they will have the Hard Work Privilege.

Have you heard of that?

It's like White Privilege, except it's real!

Two people, working hard in the Miami area, should be able to come up with $2500 per month. That's $1250 apiece.

If they were to work 50 hours per week (as I still do at 62), then:

40 x $13 = $520
+10 x $19.50 = $195
= $715 per week x 4 weeks = 2860

That is $2860 EACH, so a combined income of $5720. Yet, you say they cannot afford $2500 per month to live Near Miami Beach and South Beach?

If they cannot, and would need to move to cheaper digs, how does that create an obligation on my part? You seem unable to understand, much less answer that question.

If these friends are fictitious, you really should have thought their backstory through.

So your innate talent was having rich parents?

They were both smart, talented and rich, meaning I was sent to the best schools where my mind developed to its fullest upside. On top of that, I have had a life full of changes (been in 5 different industries) and have learned a lot. To finish it off, I was a salesman, which allowed me to meet thousands of people and talk to them, learning different cultures and ways of thinking. Last but not least, my father was Italian, my mother American (from German parents) and I was raised in Mexico. Talk about different cultures and way of thinking.

Overtime? No, very few jobs pay overtime. They hire more workers and do not pay overtime. That brings the income down to between $4000 to $4500 for people. Rent is never supposed to be more than 25% of the income. this is more than half of the income.
