Median weekly earnings for Americans in the third quarter rose 3.6% to $919, outpacing inflation, the U.S. Labor Department reported Wednesday. Earnings for those aged 25 to 54, in their prime working years, rose by 5%, the fastest rate of growth in recent years.

The Dow Jones numbers are NOT meaningless to non-stockholders.. They are very meaningful to millions of WORKERS who work in these companies.

Currently, unemployment for blacks Hispanics, and the disabled is at their lowest levels in US history. Lowest for women in over 50 years . Highest median income in US history. More people working than ever before. Economy is booming, which helps everyone.

Gap between rich and poor widening ? This could be true, while being a meaningless stat. If my neighbor's income rises $50K, and mine rises $20K, then yes the gap between us would widen.

So what ? The important thing to me is my annual pay went up a lot, and my company's doing well, increasing my job security.

EXCEPT, if you had even half a brain, instead of your victim identity politics all of the time, you might realize that the HAVES and the HAVENOTS is a continuous sliding scale where anyone in this country is free to be as poor and needy as they want, or as rich and powerful as they want: black, white, woman, man, it all just depends on your ability, your drive, your desire, and some opportunity. And any rich and successful person will tell you that opportunities are MADE, they don't just HAPPEN.
