People seem to have completely forgot that for decades before Russia went in there they were known allover the world as one of the most corrupt countries in the world.

The question is why, why are all of these countries giving billions and billions of dollars to Ukraine, pledging to support them for as long as it takes, suddenly treating Ukraine like a babe in the woods and going to such extreme lengths and creating so much propaganda about this whole thing while none of them have tried to foster peace in the country?

Corruption was in stuff like overly generous contract awards for wholesale food. (17gr per egg, when civilians can get them for 7gr at a store.)

So it's not major plundering of the war effort like selling off provided military hardware.

The fact that Ukranian society caught this and pressured Zelensky to clean house is a promising sign in itself.
