That Russian puppet ex prez Yanukovich had snipers pick off Ukrainian citizens gathered to protest his EU rejection in favor of Aligning w Putin ...over 80 were killed..sparking an uprising which resulted in Yanukovich being deposed and fleeing to Moscow...An interim Ukrainian government was them formed by its parliament (Rada) pending a special election this spring....Putin refuses to recognize this government and has sent Russian troops to occupy the Ukrainian peninsula Crimea, while pretending he's just "protecting" Russian interests and nationals there....The Ukrainians there and their interim government in the capital (Kiev) have shown no aggression but are resisting Putin and asking the West for help. What should we do?

So...you're OK w the encroachment of Russia on Eastern Europe...regardless of the reality that we have bases and economic interests there....and r willing to sit back and watch Reagan and Gorby's work in dissolving the plutocracy of the Soviet Union undone... ?

Politico...I have more of a clue than you..my maternal grandpa was beaten to death by Soviet police for criticizing that totalitarian regime in a bar...and my parents immigrated to the U.S. to escape communism and Russian hegemony.
I's clear that PUTIN wants to reconstitute the Soviet Union by sucking in all the nations that were liberated by it's disintegration ...and re-establish Russian dominion over their resources and those of Europe.
Where will it end?
So WAKE UP people ...and stop lauding that reptilian hegemon Putin while besmirching our own leaders for trying to head him off by helping Ukraine maintain its integrity and independence without throwing us into a war stance...
