Uh oh, somebody's getting fired

They will always blame tariffs.

What did they blame during Bidens years? They never said, they just reported the outcome but NEVER speculated on the reasons.

Now tariffs will always be blamed for any inflation, right? Again, what did they blame when Bidens inflation was 8% across a year?

Yes, it was the tariffs. The higher costs to American employers have worked their way through inventories and through supply chains.

As many people in the financial services industry has been predicting.

You're certainly free to blame someone/something else.

I said from the beginning that tariffs would impact segments of products but not the entire market place of products.

They should be replaced by competitive products, preferably those manufactured at home, right?

Of course. Unfortunately, we'll have to see how much damage is done in the meantime.

Why the latest inflation report is a best-case scenario for the stock market

The consumer price index rose 2.7% year-over-year in July, slightly below economists' expectations of 2.8%. For investors, this was just right — not too hot, not too cold.

I sense a disconnect from reality by the OP.....That and his link is FUBAR.

The dems must get a super secret inflation report.

What they get is inflation talking points.

With the government debt as high as it is, cuz everything has to be free don't ya know, I don't even know why the US still has a viable economy, let alone keep inflation down as low as it is as much less debt has destroyed past governments

Oh, and when it all does come crashing down just know the cause was Orange man and Capitalism and somehow Bibi. That, and Putin done it.

You are talking about the CPI, which was released a couple of days ago. The OP is talking about the PPI, released about an hour ago. Here it is.

Supply chains were readjusting, and the fact that society and the economy were stopped in 2020. Anyone with half a brain knew what would happen once society and the economy reopened.

Someone's just lost their job.

Yes indeed, the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics lost her job just a few weeks ago. I'm not sorry to see her go after I questioned the latest details of the employment report that seemed to rehash where job growth was coming from over the recent months. Recent reports from the Bureau:

Producer Price Index of 8/14
Consumer Price Index of 8/12
Jobs report of 8/1
