The San Francisco Federal Building is the ugly thing blotting the skyline that architects love and everyone else hates.

It was so despised that it was featured in the Trump presidential order calling for a return to classical architecture.

Seems like architecture just expresses rage these days.

Seattle used to be visually a beautiful city and it really started plummeting downhill with Paul Allen's rock star wet dream.

Then the new Central Seattle Public Library shattered the skyline.

I used to shop at Puget Consumer Coop, at the ground level of this gigantic upchuck.

It's so sad to see. There is so much breathtaking architecture, lots of art deco.

And the beautiful modernism of the Space Needle with Paul Horiuchi's Venetian glass mural near its base.

A large part of my favorite Seattle architecture with a quietly Japanese influence, Minoru Yamasaki's Pacific Science Center and Rainier Tower. Mr. Yamasaki is the architect who designed the World Trade Center Towers.
