Actually, Elon and Donald weren't talking about unions, they were talking about workers going on strike, guys at Twitter X who weren't dues paying members of any union, much less the UAW.

Musk and Trump chatting about anything isn't illegal- we still have freedom of speech in this country. Or at least are supposed to. When a radical government demands that a couple of guys be literally crucified for chopping it up, because they are "offended" by it, it shows how extreme libs are.

That is what it seem to be, it is crazy how one side is is desperate to control the message and control free speech that disagrees with their politics. Unions are greedy and just trying to protect themselves because there are less and less reasons for them to be around.
