First, this is not going to be a “war”, let alone another Vietnam. So save all of the tired, old canned retorts. They are all crap. This will be a precision strike, presumably to (1) degrade or destroy nuclear material; and (2) destroy/degrade their ability to enrich uranium and otherwise manufacture and engineer a nuclear weapon. In addition, while I doubt Daddy would go this far, we could hit other targets, like military and paramilitary forces to help the revolutionaries in Iran, AND bomb the shit out of Tehran to teach the Ayatollahs and Mullahs about consequences.

Bombing the Ayatollah and the Mullahs in Iran has always seemed … oh, I don’t know … it seems like our leaders considered it taboo. It was like Iran was off limits because we did not want to direct terror attacks against us. Of course, that is not a reason to refrain from pursuing one’s national interests. In fact, you are surrendering to the terrorists when you do this.

Iran is a Third World country with outdated military hardware. They have a couple helicopters and some Soviet MiGs. That is the entirety of its Air Force. We will wipe it out in the first 30 minutes, or less, of our assault. The backbone of Iran’s navy is a cadre of outboard-equipped speed boats. The military’s duty rifle is an AK-47. Their defenses will not even be a speed bump for us.

They will fire some rockets at Israel and our bases. This risk is nominal. Plus, who cares? The importance of the mission (to prevent Iran from getting nukes) outweighs the risk.

We need to stop interfering in the affairs of other nations and fix our own.

"That seems like a very clear signal that the talks in Oman did not go well. The urgency of these moves is another indicator that the talks produced nothing more than the same demands from Iran to keep enriching uranium and the same refusals to discuss their ballistic missiles and terror proxies."

Talks in Oman produced an Iranian offer that "went far beyond what had been negotiated during President Obama's administration..."

The US/Israeli Attack Was to Prevent Peace Not Advance It

"Last Friday, (2/27) the mediator of the U.S. and Iranian nuclear negotiations in Oman, that country’s foreign minister Badr Albusaidi, pulled the rug out from President Trump’s deceptive pretense, threatening war with Iran because it had refused his demands that it give up what he claimed was its drive to build its own atom bomb.

"The Omani foreign minister explained on CBS’s Face the Nation that the Iranian team had agreed not to accumulate enriched uranium and offered 'full and comprehensive verification by the IAEA.'"

The US is at "war" with the wrong country in West Asia.
