While some have speculated Feeley's decision was influenced by Trump's comments, a senior State Department official separately told Newsweek that is not the case.

"Ambassador Feeley Department informed leadership of his decision on December 27, 2017," the official said.

If this keeps up, Trump will do MORE of this, not less. He saves some money AND gets rid of an appointee from the administration that spied on him. Hardly a disincentive to change.
