Hmmmm. Two female Representatives, (one 73-year-old and one 71-year-old) actually showed up without an appointment, opened the door, cam in and actually spoke to Mike Johnson, the 53-year-old, Louisiana representative Speaker of their house of Representative? How handy of Politico to have a reporter in the room! That is, of course, unless it was just a phone in report from the Speaker's secretary. Lousy reporting though, no quotes of what was said, or anything, just the characterization of "barged in". I am sure the manly Speaker Johnson was traumatized by the two little old ladies of his house. Luckily, it does not appear he was harmed, other than to have to hear the complaints of the two gentlewomen of his House, before they left and went about their business, as he went about his. There was no report of them being thrown out, by his security, or the House Sergeant at arms flogging the two old women on the steps of Congress. I am certain, Mike felt much better after a session with Daniel Eck, senior trauma counselor for the House of Representatives, and will not have to miss any of his important Speaker duties. What an impactful, important story of the day!
