Remember you said that about white uneducated MAGA hillbilly? I am from KY and my wife is from Alabama. I have a master's degree and she has a BA. We ordered my BC from the state of KY, and she picked hers at her county health department in AL, along with our marriage certificate. That is not what Schumer and Jeffries are complaining about. What they are complaining about is that the Republican Party only wants certain types of picture IDs to be used as voter IDs...such as driver's licenses.

This is unfair to young people and lots of poor people who don't have driver's licenses, and these people are mostly Democratic voters.

Democrats have no problem with voter IDs. However, they must be issued fairly and uniformly to all registered voters. No games.

I'm not opposed to proving who you are to vote. What I'm opposed to is the Republican Party picking only certain forms of photo IDs that help them gain an advantage, like driver's licenses.

Why aren't student IDs allowed? Because Republicans know that most college students vote for the Democratic Party.

Real ID driver's licenses (or IDs) are required to fly on an airline in every state. Those IDs are required to vote as well. It does not have to be a drivers license. It has to be a gov't issued ID and there are other options as I quoted from USA Today in post #28. It is not some nefarious movement to keep anyone from voting. It is to prevent the disenfranchisement of legal voters. Do you want your vote negated because some illegal voter voted contrary to your vote? Are you a legal voter?
