I was in the mood to crust in the recliner and watch some TV last night. I tried 3 new Tuesday evening shows; Animal Kingdom, Feed the Beast and Wrecked.
Animal Kingdom: meh. Maybe the problem was that I missed the first few episodes. This one is a SoCal crime family drama. There was a lot of less-than-stellar dialogue where I had to turn up the volume to 80 to understand it because there was a little commotion in my house. Maybe the problem is that I missed the first few episodes. I wasn't intrigued.
Feed the Beast: two brothers leverage everything to open a restaurant. What was that recent Cuban sandwich movie? Chef. This show attempts to capitalize on the current foodie entertainment craze. Mix in a heaping tablespoon of contrived racial politics and a brotherly odd couple trying to make it work as business partners. It was okay. I'll probably watch another one next Tuesday.
Wrecked: I like this show. It's a stupid parody of Lost. If you liked Lost and humor that is dumb and dumber, you'll like it too. It's a half hour and they had two showings in my time zone, like one at 7 and one at 9.
