Trump feels emotionally congruent, like he genuinely believes what he’s saying in the moment. Authenticity matters to me. Even when I disagree with him, I usually know where he stands. Vance, by contrast, comes across as more composed and deliberate. It makes him harder to read emotionally. That emotional opacity makes it harder for me to trust what he says as being his authentic self. He feels more like someone managing an image than revealing convictions.
