Sorry about the pay wall, but you get the idea.
American public opinion has reached a crescendo of interest in the ill-advised but prevailing policy of granting instant U.S. citizenship to anyone with the good fortune of being born within our borders. The political sides are diametrically opposed on (a) whether it's a good idea in itself (it's not), and (b) what does the 14th Amendment really mean?
Both sides trot out their legal/Constitutional "experts" who spout opposit conclusions on the question, all with great authority.
Thank God we have a President with the balls to bring it to a head, so that at some point the PEOPLE might weigh in, toss out some Democrats and get the ball at least rolling in the right direction.
Same with Iran. Every President since 1979 has bitched and moaned the same thing...Iran cannot be allowed to get a nuclear weapon, and now we have a President who actually does something about it. And as with birthright citizens, Democrats are whining because....well, they just are.
