Two SC appointments and another one coming up, replacing the most liberal one. Probably one or two more before 2020. You'll be feeling the effects of the Donald Trump presidency for a generation to come. Spin until you fall down but your leftist agenda is falling apart in front of your eyes and there's nothing you can do about it. And a small majority in the House isn't gonna stop the Trump Train.
There are ways of overturning the bias of the court. Kavenaugh ought not to get too comfortable in that seat of his, and I fully expect some Republicans in the Senate to grow a pair and take on the role of Jeff Flake or Bob Corker.
Your assumption that Trump now has a tame Senate and that he was better off that he was on Monday is an utter lie. Over the next two years, Obama, Holder and their task force will be busy overturning Republican gerrymandering in every state in the union. They will also be busy getting voters registered and turning out the vote in 2020. They didn't have time to get it done before the mid-terms because they needed to set up the programs state by state, all of which takes time and resources. This work is now aided by the flipping of 7 Republican States to Democrat, and that job will be much easier. It can be quickly legislated in those states where Dems won, as can reversing the voter suppression tactics being used in those states.
In the meantime, the Democrats' cause vis a vis Trump was given a huge boost by Trumps further open attempts to obstruct and control the Mueller Investigation. Exit polls show that these tactics are loser tactics with traditional Republican voters. They don't like Trump's attacks on the FBI, the Department of Justice, and his attempts to undermine the Mueller Investigation.
Bob Mueller is a respected Republican, a decorated war hero, and a man with a long and storied career in service to his country - all of the things that Trump is not. Long time Republicans respect and believe Bob Mueller and they don't believe anything Trump says. They elected him for the tax cuts and the Supreme Court. Now that they have both, they want peace and order.
