Decline to make any more at all until after not just the election but also until after his re-inauguration.

That will being out even the most marginal Trump voters in numbers you can't believe.

Agreed, this SCOTUS nomination could well be Trumps final win for the country should he lose in Nov so he should fill this seat asap. Given the environment and all this mail in voting nonsense, the election will not end on election night. It may take days or weeks, one side or the other taking legal action to change the outcome, and some of those cases may end up at the Supreme Court.

We can't have 4-4 decisions which puts us right back to where we started. We need 5-4 decisions that may very well determine who our next President is.

Trump and the Republicans would be fools not to select and confirm a SC justice when they have the opportunity. Who knows when they would have another opportunity. Stacking the courts has always been a priority for Republicans.
