Trump will allow Jan 6 investigators to use “I was only following orders” defense

I love the J6ers. I'm so happy that they're out now. It's time to rile them up to overthrow the government again.

Democrats tried to overthrow Trump starting in 2017 and still are trying to overthrow him.

I recall two FBI agents at a senior level promising to stop Trump from being elected.

At least one: Peter Strzok and his girlfriend in another agency. But the FBI inspector general, Horowitz, found many unethical or at least improper actions by the FBI during that period. That is probably why he was not among the IGs who were fired. But for sure McCabe and Comey were not playing with an honest deck through all that and there no doubt were many others.

“Let me be clear: No FBI employee who simply followed orders and carried out their duties in an ethical manner with respect to January 6 investigations is at risk of termination or other penalties,” the email reads.

Mixed feelings on this. Their duty was to resist the unlawful orders to use the resources and force and power of the FBI to go after political enemies.

This may be Trump’s well-known generosity of Spirit and distaste for anything that could be interpreted as revenge.

I guess it’ll be fine, so long as each agent who receives this leniency gets it by filling out a statement of how they were ordered and pressured to do this against their will.
