Vancouver lost their $1B plant from a Taiwanese company. Looks as if Ontario may lose this plant, for which a large chunk of the $7B was to come from taxpayers, all for only 3000 jobs.

Amazingly, his tariff threat might save taxpayers money if this plant doesn't go forward. There are over 100k auto manufacturing jobs in Ontario most from U.S corporations. If they all head south, Ontario will be like Detroit, a ghost town.

Southwestern Ontario may lose a $7-billion investment and the 3,000 jobs that come with it if Canadian industry is hit with a 25 per cent tariff from U.S. president-elect Donald Trump, one trade expert says.

Sounds like it would behoove Canada to stop illegals from being allowed to cross your southern border into our country and avoid a 25% tariff....

I think Trump is going to apply tariffs anyways. It will be across the board for many nations and he wants to replace much of income tax with a tariff tax, similar to how it was long ago.

Did you know that in 1894 or something when the U.S tried to tax farmers your courts struck it down as it was unconstitutional?
